Who pays for home inspections and appraisal?

In North East Ohio it’s customary for the buyer to pay for the home inspections and appraisal.  The buyer of your property will schedule appointments with the appropriate inspectors to perform the inspections indicated on the contract. Inspections can range from a general home inspection to radon, pest, mold, and lead based paint inspections. Certain city and county ordinances require homeowners to have a point of sale inspection conducted in order to sell their property.  Your property cannot transfer ownership if it is required and not completed .The seller is usually responsible for ordering any city point of sale inspections
